Salat also know as the contact prayers, are the 5 daily prayers.
SALAT is mentioned 67 times in Quran. 19 X 4 = 76
With today`s technology we no longer need to search the sky or the horizon for the sun, moon etc to figure out the times of this important commandment.
One site available to figure out the Salat times is the U.S.Naval observatory.
By entering the date, state and the city you will get a table like below.
The below times was for Monday April 12th 2010 for the city of Phoenix in State of Arizona.

The contact prayers been decreed for us at least 5 times during the day in specific time intervals.

And when you finish your contact prayer, then you shall commemorate God622 while standing, sitting or lying on your side. And once you are secure, you shall continue upholding the contact prayer. Surely, contact prayer has been decreed upon the believers at specific times.
These times are
1 - Dawn, (24:58),
2 - During declining sun from the highest point towards the darkness of the night, (17:28),
3 - Middle (2:238),
4 - Early evening, (11:114)
5 - After when twilight is over in the evening (24:58).
1 - 24 : 58
O you who believe, those whom you are protecting as well as those who have not reached adulthood shall ask permission from you three times during the day. These are BEFORE THE DAWN CONTACT PRAYER, in the middle of the daylight, when you are changing your clothes and after the night contact prayer. These are your three private times for you. You commit no error by visiting each other during the rest of the times. God thus clarifies the signs for you. And God is All Knowing, All Wise.
2 - 17:78
Observe the contact prayer when the sun starts its DECLINE FROM THE HIGHEST POINT in the sky towards the darkness of the night, and read the Quran at dawn, indeed the reading of the Quran at dawn is witnessed.
3 - 2:238
Remember the contact prayers, as well as the MIDDEL PRAYER and rise up for God humbly.
4 - 11:114
And observe the contact prayer at both ends of the daylight and EARLY EVENING. Indeed good deeds wipe out bad ones. This is a reminder for those who take the reminder.
5 - 24:58
