In The Name of GOD, The All Gracious, The All Merciful
The act of stoning that is practiced in some of the Islamic countries is a not a behaviour approved by GOD Almighty. People that act in such an evil and unjust manner against other people are violating GOD`s law of compasion and mercy.
Although this behaviour been mentioned in the Quran, it is always related to the DISBELIEVERS.
11- 91
They said; O Shoaib, we do not understand much of what you say and
indeed we see that you are weak amongst us, and if it were not for your clan,
we would have surely stoned you, and you would not have any might over us.
(Disbelievers threatening Gods prophet with stoning)
18 - 20
For if your identity is revealed, they may stone you or force
you to join their nation, and you will never see success again.
(A group of righteous teens are worried about the disbelieving community reaction to them)
19 - 46
He said, are you going to divert me from my gods O Abraham?
If you do not refrain, I will stone you and deport you from my nation.
(Abraham father, a disbeliever in God and an idol worshiper threatening his own son with stoning)
26 - 116
They said, O Noah, if you do not refrain we will stone you.
(Disbelieving people of Noah threatening God`s messenger with stoning)
36 - 18
They said; indeed you are a bad omen for us and if you do not refrain,
we will surely stone you and inflict upon you a painful suffering.
(Disbelievers are threatening a believer with stoning)
The above 5 Quaranic verses show very clearly that it is always the disbelievers
in GOD that threatening to stone others. It is clear that stoning was an acceptable
act practiced within their disbelieving community that is why they are threatening others.
Any act of stoning as a punishment for a crime is an act against Islam and God.
That is why GOD has used these examples in Quarn for us to take heed.
God knew that the later generations will practice this evil act and He is telling us not to do it.
